The spatial design process has entered a new stage. Planning, architecture, landscaping and urbanism do not longer merely deal with facades, bricks, spaces and roads, but also with flows, data, mobility, action and even activities — soft territorial capital. Anything measurable can be an active component of a design process. We have reframed our understanding of design. Today, urban designers take the soft and breathing city into account, contemporary design tends to leave the focus on hard, fixed and physical objects and move towards more phlegmatic, moving and flexible patterns.
I guess, I have not been to Venice since 2030 … St. Mark’s more and more reminds me of Berlin-Kreuzberg in the early 2010’s … and the future
